Education
Junior English and psychology double major at New York University (NYU) with a 3.85 GPA. I have been on the Dean's List for the past two years. This past year I was a Dean's Circle Scholar, and a participant in NYU's Global Leadership Summit in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. In the Spring 2015 semester I studied abroad in London where I took classes on Shakespeare, British theatre, developmental psychology, and cognition. Graduated from Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy Highschool in 2013.
Experience
I received an 800 on my SAT Reading and 780 on my SAT Writing sections. I also received a 5 on my AP examinations in Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, and Psychology. For the past two years I have been taking English and psychology classes at NYU, and helping my friends write and edit their papers along the way. This past year I wrote a thesis paper for my Dean's Circle Scholar honors seminar on the globalization of higher education. I also worked alongside psychology doctoral students in a lab with girls in New York City's juvenile detention system. But aside from being knowledgable in my subjects, I am also great with kids. I have worked at day camps since 2012 with kids from 4 to 17 years old. For the past two summers I have taught at Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, so I have hands-on experience teaching children.
