Experience
I have a BS degree in Special Education and General Education. My degree allows me to work with students in grades 1-6. After getting my undergraduate degree, I chose to continue my learning and obtained a BS degree in ESL. I've taught in New York City as a special education teacher. I have tutored a variety of subjects to elementary students, because this is where much of my experience lies. I also work with higher grade levels with writing and reading work. I like to help with all subjects, but I really enjoy math, writing, reading, and social studies. I enjoy social studies, because I feel it's important for students to learn about the world and our history. I did struggle with math as a child, but I am able to understand the struggles that many students face now. My goal is to always be fun and interactive when I work with my students. Learning can be fun, even if it's a bit challenging at times. I like to use hands-on learning. When I'm not working or helping students, I enjoy hanging out with my family. I like to spend time at amusement parks, aquariums, and anywhere with animals.
